WHERE ARE YOU GOING – HEAVEN OR HELL?
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
WHERE ARE YOU GOING – HEAVEN OR HELL?
Many people think that heaven or hell do not exist, but the Holy Bible – the ONLY Word of God – clearly says that these two places are real: “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world…..Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels’…Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life” (Matthew 25:34,41,46).
HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT. Jesus’ words about hell: “Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:48; Isaiah 66:24); “eternal fire” (Matthew 18:8, 25:41); “fire of hell” (Matthew 5:22, 18:9); “fiery furnace” (Matthew 13:42, 50); “weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 8:12, 22:13, 25:30); “eternal punishment” (Matthew 25:46) and “outer darkness” (Matthew 8:12, 22:13). “If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15). “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). God does not want us to be in hell since it was prepared for the Devil and his angels.
Then, What is the Reason for this Punishment?
The answer is SIN. Everything (words, deeds, thoughts, etc.) that separates you from God is sin. We are sinners by birth and live in sin. Since God is Holy, sin separates us from HIM. ‘Just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned’ (Romans 5:12). ‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23). ‘For the wages of sin is death’ (Romans 6:23).
A few examples of sin from the Holy Bible – the Only Word of God: ‘The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life’ (1 John 2:16); ‘All wrongdoing is sin’ (1 John 5:17); Jesus said, ‘For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly’ (Mark 7:21,22); ‘But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death’( Revelation 21:8); ‘Nothing impure will ever enter it (heaven), nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life’ (Revelation 21:27); ‘ For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a man is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God’ (Ephesians 5:5); ‘The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God’ (Galatians 5:19-21); ‘Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God’ (1 Corinthians 6:9,10); ‘Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, …’ (Romans 1:26,27).
Idolatry – “Christians” who worship saints and pray to/for the dead must realize that they are breaking the first commandment- ‘You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God….’ (Exodus 20:3-5). There are no other mediators other than Jesus: ‘For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus’ (1 Timothy 2:5).
Adultery – Premarital sex is included in the biblical definition of sexual immorality. Sex between a husband (man) and his wife (woman) is the only form of sexual relation that God approves. ‘But I (Jesus) tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart’ (Matthew 5: 28).
Divorce – ‘I (Jesus) tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery’ (Matthew 5:32); ‘Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral’ (Hebrews 13:4). Jesus said, ‘ what God has joined together, let man not separate’ (Mark 10:9). Please prayerfully follow the Bible’s solution for this issue: ‘Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord…. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her’ (Ephesians 5:22,25). Teenagers, please pray to God and allow Him to select a partner for you. Dating doesn’t work all the time.
Drinking, Smoking, Suicide, Drugs, Tattoos… – ‘Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple’ (1 Corinthians 3:16, 17); ‘Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD’ (Leviticus 19:28). Dress modestly. Please do not provoke anyone to sin. Women, cover your heads when you pray (1 Cor. 11:1-16). There is no Eastern or Western culture, but only Biblical culture. All these actions represent the sinful nature in us.
Now, do you have the conviction that you are a sinner? If so, you have a chance to reconcile with God.
God loves you and He does not want you to perish.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16); “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full ” (John 10:10); “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23); “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
People often try to reach God by their own so called good ways.
Our Good Ways Cannot Save Us. Only The Cross of Calvary Can
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Jesus is the Only Way
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners–of whom I am the worst” (1 Timothy 1:15); “In whom (Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins” (Colossians 1:14); “In Him (Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace ” (Ephesians 1:7); “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
How can you become a child of God? Accept Jesus as your Savior.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved–you and your household”(Acts 16:31); “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12); “ If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9); “God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Centuries ago Isaiah prophesied the crucifixion of Jesus Christ: “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4,5); “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed”( 1 Peter 2:24);“ How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3). “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation”(2 Corinthians 6:2).
Will you please receive Jesus Christ as your Lord right now? He loves you!
How you can receive Christ as your personal Savior ?
Admit that you are a sinner and repent. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the Cross of Calvary and rose from the grave on the third day. And say these words to Jesus with brokenness of your heart: My Dear Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. I turn from my sins and invite You to come in to my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. I pray in Your Holy Name. Amen.
If you prayed earnestly and asked for forgiveness, you are saved!
Abide in HIM – “Go now and leave your life of sin”(John 8:11). “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning”(1 John 3:6).Now you are free from sin and the fear of death, your name is in the Book of Life and you are an heir of heaven. However, you are not done yet. Find a Bible-believing and practicing church and be baptized. The Holy Bible says: “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”(Acts 2:38).
Water Baptism: Jesus said, “…baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Mathew 28:19). Water baptism is an act of obedience that follows repentance to symbolically portray the washing away of our sins. Water baptism calls for immersion instead of sprinkling. Anyone who receives water baptism must realize what it means to receive it; therefore, infant baptism is not Scriptural. One must repent and be saved to be baptized. Water baptism portrays the burial of the old man and his works of death and the raising out of the water into the new life in Christ (Romans 6:1-18). “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ” (Galatians 3:27). Once you are baptized in water receive the Holy Spirit (the Third Person in Trinity) Baptism.
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM – The Gift of God. Jesus said, “you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 1:5); “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them” (Acts 2:1-4). Once you receive the power, you will have the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. You will speak in tongues, lead a powerful, holy Christian life, and witness Christ. Each true Christian is a missionary.
Jesus is coming soon – “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). So please spread this Good News and save as many as possible.
Jesus Christ saves the sinners, heals the sick, gives the Holy Spirit, and is coming soon as a King.
Be prepared to welcome Him.
